I am a specialty freelance artist offering the unique combination of photographic illustration and graphic design – either in seamless combination or as individual services. This dual compatibility is a significant benefit for today’s tight production budgets. I can take any concept through design, photography and final layout or work on a specific segment of a project as part of a larger team. This flexibility makes me an ideal resource for both corporate clients and advertising agencies.
One of my primary niches in recent years has been “WOW” exteriors – a specialty I’ve developed that involves shooting a series of individual photos to accentuate the positive features of a building and its surroundings then digitally blending and enhancing those images to create a finished photograph with much greater impact and dramatic appeal than is otherwise possible.
My design and art direction experience has covered brand development, corporate identity packages, graphic standards consistency, web design, print advertising and collateral – including: brochures, rack cards, invitations, posters, backlits, menus, logos, product sheets, signage and more. Here at our outpost in Carson City I have designed and built a natural light photo studio specifically for shooting products, food, drinks, people and other illustrative themes. I also have the capability to efficiently shoot on location anywhere in North America. In addition to shooting capabilities, my stock photo library contains an extensive collection of regional scenery and other themed images ideal for incorporating into design concepts. Having the ability to seamlessly blend design and photography is a significant creative asset and extremely cost effective for my clients.
These days there seems to be about as many photographers and designers out on the streets as there are Starbucks — however, very few have the genuine experience (18 years worth), range of capabilities, industry insight and depth of resources to significantly enhance the quality of your work and make you more successful in the long run.
